Player of the Week (Oct. 1-7) - Hawai'i Hilo freshman forward Luis Lanz (Tucson, AZ/Salpointe Catholic) has been named the PacWest Men's Soccer Player of the Week...the rookie led the Vulcans to a 2-0 week by scoring twice and adding a pair of assists in wins over Chaminade and BYU-Hawai'i...he had a goal and an assist in each contest to finish the week with six points...he scored the game-winner in a 2-1 victory vs. BYU-Hawai'i.

Alanna Pawlowski makes post season debut for #1 Seed Penn State in Opening Round of College Cup play

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced the 2007 adidas Women's Soccer All-Northeast Region teams this afternoon, with the Rams being well represented among the Northeast's best. Three Fordham players earned All-Region honors led by sophomore Courtney Fedge (Bellport, N.Y./Bellport), who was named First Team All-Northeast Region. Junior Kim Boulos (Croton, N.Y./Croton) earned Second Team All-Northeast, while freshman Katie McDermott (Tucson, Ariz./Catalina Foothills) was named Third Team All-Northeast.
McDermott , an All-Rookie and Second Team All-Conference selection, stepped into the line-up immediately in her first season, playing in all 20 games, starting 19. She was the top freshman scorer on the Rams with four goals and two assists for ten points, while helping the Rams' defense record seven shutouts. She was also named to the All-Championship team at the Atlantic 10 Tournament.
